79. RETARD is Hate Speech

Her response was ridiculous. Saying that she was not referring to a person with Down syndrome is like saying that calling someone a "cunt" is not referring to a woman.
Boy, I wish I had read this in October when you wrote it. I've never been so disgusted with anyone in the political lime-light as I was disgusted with her! I'm a big believer in Karma, and believe that what you put out into the world comes back to you. If I were Ms. Coulter, I wouldn't answer any knocks at the door :-) Wonderful post!
Do you expect anything else from Ms. Coulter? Her hate speech would be legendary except that would elevate her to "legendary status. Hate speech from a member of the Press should never be tolerated.
I saw a link to your October piece in a heartwarming MSN article today. Today's article described a restaurant waiter who recently stood up for a boy with DS, after another patron's table made disparaging remarks about him and other people with special needs. I was glad to have read that article, and even more so when I saw a link to your article and this blog site. The only downside....all of the work I've neglected on my desk for the last couple of hours as a result!!
